CiscoWorks 2000 Device Fault Manager. With this integration, all of the NotificationWorks modules
become available, providing abilities such as forwarding alarms to pagers, e-mails,
and cell phones, having alarms vocalized through sounds cards or having alarms
escalated due to not being handled by the assigned technician within the scheduled
time.
NotificationWorks is modular based, which means that the customer can purchase
only those modules that they need. The scheduling and filtering of alarms is
very comprehensive, they can be scheduled and filtered based on hour of the
day, day of the week, alarm name, affected node, alarm message content, even
duplication alarms can be filtered, and much more. See the list of the NotificationWorks

Integration is with Cisco's CiscoWorks 2000 is accomplished by using our NotificationWorks CiscoWorks 2000 Adapter module. This module converts the two D FM SNMP traps from CiscoWorks 2000 and translates them into over 50 specific alarms. Each alarm can then be handled using any of our other NotificationWorks Modules. For instance, if you would like to have the alarms forwarded to pagers with scheduling that is comprehensive and granularly then your would also use our PageManager Pro module. Together these two modules will provide the ability to be notified via pagers, e-mails, and cellular phones for all of the CiscoWorks 2000 alarms.

Installation Instructions:
1. Configure the CiscoWorks 2000 Trap Notifier Adapter to forward traps to
the IP address of the PC running NotificationWorks. Full Cisco instructions

2. On the PC running our NotificationWorks, enable the Windows NT/2000 SNMP trap service.
3. Install NotificationWorks by running setup. When prompted for which modules to install, select CiscoWorks 2000 Adapter module and any of the other modules you want to use. For instance, if you want paging notification, then also select the PageManager Pro module.
3. Schedule the CiscoWorks 2000 alarms by consulting that module's documentation.
Instructions for use:
DFM traps will now be recognized by NotificationWorks. The scheduling of the traps is dependent on the NotificationWorks' module being used, so consult the appropriate module documentation.
